Frequently Asked Questions

Sparrows enjoy a variety of seeds, including millet, sunflower seeds, and other ingredients commonly found in quality seed blends. They are quite adaptable and will often visit different types of feeders. Refer to "Choosing The Right Seed" & "Beyond Bird Seed" for guidance.
You can offer a quality seed blend in a platform, hopper, or other convenient feeders. Sparrows often feed in groups, so providing enough space for several birds can make your feeding area more inviting.
If sparrows are becoming too dominant, you can try offering them food in a separate area while using feeders designed around the smaller birds you want to attract. Cleaning up spilled seed can also help stop large groups from gathering underneath your feeders.
